A format is a layout, not a badge. Bed channels and height speakers are drawn against the actual seats. If the ceiling, structure, or seating makes a given layout poor, a simpler layout is specified instead.

Process

   Room firstHeight, seating rows, and screen wall decide what the format can be.

   LayoutLoudspeakers, including any height speakers, are placed on the drawing.

   ElectronicsProcessing and amplification are specified to match that layout.
4. 04
   CommissionLevels and the picture are set in the finished room.

• A loudspeaker layout for the chosen format
• A signal path from sources to amplifiers and speakers
• Rack space and cabling notes
• Calibration of the installed system
